The characteristics of the first BB10 smartphone (BlackBerry Z10)

Are We fell on the head after the failed end of the world? No worry, you’re are on iFonAndroid and we’re talking about BlackBerry! RIM (Canadian Company and BlackBerry editor) is in a very delicate situation at the moment, having missed the turn smartphones. With the PlayBook tablet and its QNX operating system, a first attempt to return to the battle was done, but unfortunately sales were not followed. Among the features of the system, there is the ability to run Android applications via a virtual machine suited (and this is precisely why we increasingly talk about the news of BlackBerry in the coming months). The future of society requires BlackBerry 10 (BB10 shortcut), which will be announced on January 30. This version also uses QNX and therefore can run Android applications, but also those developed in Adobe Air, HTML5 or C / C + +. The first BlackBerry smartphone will be named BlackBerry Z10: you probably noticed, it was not the BlackBerry keyboard and uses the design codes of the iPhone. After the photos, it was interesting to see the its characteristics. The screen will measure 4.2 inches with HD (1280 x 768 pixels) and the processor will be different depending on where you buy it: a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 for the United States and Canada and Texas Instruments OMAP 4470 clocked at 1.7 GHz for the rest of the world that rely on 2GB of RAM! It will carry 16 or 32 GB of internal memory, knowing that a microSD card is integrated. Two cameras will be present: the 8 megapixel on the back with LED flash and 2 megapixel on the front. Regarding connectivity, this is a no-fault: LTE, NFC, WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, microUSB and microHDMI. It ends with a 1800 mAh battery. While all of these characteristics are not official, they are more than tempting. Unfortunately between iOS, Android and now Windows Phone 8, BlackBerry 10 will have to work hard to win, especially as the brand image deteriorates more and pros who so loved this platform are now turning to competition. Knowing that applications can be used on this phone, are you tempted to switch to a...

Google Maps for iOS hits 10 Million Downloads Within 48 Hours

Just as the latest Google Maps for the iOS 6 was well met by iOS 6-driven mobile users, a report from ZDNet notes that Google’s senior vice president for commerce, Jeff Huber, shared that the new app was downloaded 10 million times in less than 48 hours. Revealed to have been shared on Huber’s own Google+ Page, Huber is quoted to share the following in his post, along with the download-performance stats of Google Maps for the iOS 6: “We’re excited for the positive reception of Google Maps for iPhone around the world. Congratulations to the Maps Team on the recognition for the passion and hard work they poured into it, for this release and over the last 7+ years.” The new Google Plus for the iOS 6 officially rolled out Wednesday last week, as Huber’s post is noted to have been shared on Monday. Given how much of a “controversy” the iOS 6’s built-in Maps had been, clamor over the reason why Apple didn’t bundle the new mobile operating system with Google Maps support had been quite active, with different sentiments touching up on how “greedy Apple is turning out to be.” As Apple’s Maps is now quite established as one of its more openly known failures, the release of Google Maps for the iOS 6 comes as a “win” for Google, one that is backed by Huber’s testimony on the number of times it had been downloaded since it officially rolled out. For iOS 6 device users who feel that Maps isn’t as fully featured as Google Maps is, you can now install Google Maps in your mobile iOS 6...
