Google Could Launch A Nexus 4 LTE (4G)

The Nexus 4 has already been compatible with LTE (4G) in North America but not in Europe since its release. Unfortunately, since the last update to Android 4.2.2, compatibility with 4G has even been removed by Google.

Today, there are some rumors saying that Google and LG prepare a 32GB compatible 4G LTE model that could be revealed between 15 and 17 May during the Google I/O developer conference organized by Google and which makes important announcements every year. For now, the rumor reports that the model in question is only compatible with CDMA networks, and thus may reintroduce the compatibility of versions 8 and 16 GB with mobile networks 4G LTE in the North American.

Again according to SidhTech rumors, this variant of the LG Nexus 4 LTE will ship the same specs (4.7-inch touch screen, quad-core processor Snapdragon S4 Pro, 2GB RAM, …). With that, some of our colleagues require integration with a micro SD slot. If Google install more memory, it is precisely to avoid having to deal with this memory problem that some users are experiencing.

Android Key Lime Pie could be pre-installed in the Nexus LTE 4 version.

To conclude,

  • A new 4G LTE-compatible model with 32 GB of memory
  • return of 4G LTE for 8 and 16 GB models on North American soil
  • possible output of a functional variant LTE 4G on GSM networks

As for the update to Android Key Lime Pie, it will certainly happen during the summer like each year. Anyway, the announcement of an LTE Nexus 4 should definitely get rid of the rumors regarding the formalization of a supposed Nexus 5.
